We meet Valentina Joiu, Funder of Sukisimo, the Sustainable Fashion Boutique that promotes designers, like us, that respect people, animal and the planet
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO SPECIALIZE IN SUSTAINABLE FASHION?
Sukisimo is made up of enterpreneurs that are willing to change the fashion industry. Our Project was born to bring together the designers, artisans and artists that help other people to feel good, respecting the value chain and our valuable good, the Earth.
People Fashion Planet – Our key pillars empower workers, repect culture and heritage, support local economy, look after the environement and animal wellness and measure the success with the values that represents – A fashion that celebrates life.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN CHALLENGES YOU FACE?
We are proud to represent an alternative to fast fashion.
We are aware to conquire and to educate the customers who are seeking for new garments very often and at a low cost without wondering what’s behind each product, is a challenge.
However, we support this sustainable fashion movement to encorage the responsable consumption trends, and to make it become preferencial and common consumption.
WHY IS CANUSSA AT SUKISIMO?
Sukisimo is a mix of Japonese and Spanish languages, which mean “I love it”.
Innovation, functionality and the selection of high quality fabrics is what we love the most from the first time we saw Canussa.
We love to support designers who are adding so much value to the production process, that are promoting the artisanal work and offer an alternative to “slow fashion” with timeless designs.
Canussa is one of the brands that we are more exited to have at Sukisimo.
